Bealtaine-Festival

Bealtaine is the national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age. Fingal Libraries will be celebrating the Bealtaine festival again this May with events and activities in all Fingal libraries. Donabate Library has two wonderful events:

Hanging Basket Workshop with Aoife Munn
Wednesday 3rd May from 6.30pm to 7.30pm

Learn how to create different types of hanging baskets, including herb hanging baskets that will last all year.
Aoife will demonstrate on the day and there will be lots of time for questions and answers. Booking is required.

Learn to Play Bridge with Martin Staunton (4 Classes)
Fridays: 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th May from 11am to 1pm

Keep mentally fit and have fun by playing this card game which is suitable for all ages.
Join Bridge tutor Martin Staunton for a two-hour bridge class each week for four weeks. Booking is required.

Fingal She Leads Women’s Leadership Exhibition

2nd May – 14th May 2023

Through our Eyes, the Power of Women’s Leadership in Community Action, is an initiative of Fingal County Council’s She Leads Women’s Leadership programme.

The exhibition showcases the leadership of Fingal Women in Community Action and is touring Fingal Libraries (March to May).

Story Circle for Under 5s

Wednesday, 3rd May from 3.00 to 3.30pm

The weekly story circle for babies and toddlers will continue Wednesday, 3rd May at 3.00pm in the Junior Library. This is fantastic way to introduce books and reading to young children. All welcome.

May Crafts for 5 to 12-year-olds

Tuesday 16th May and Thursday 18th May from 3pm to 4pm

Join Adelaide and Ciara for a seasonal craft session in the library in May. We will have two sessions this month. All materials supplied. Booking is required.

Monday Evening Book Club

Monday, 29th May from 6.30pm to 7.30pm

The book club will be discussing ‘The Colony’ by Audrey Magee on the last Monday of the month. New members welcome. Booking is required.
